Hi Jessica,

I read your article with interest because it is written in a similar vein to an article that I wrote regarding dealing with online trolls. There is definitely some crossover here — specifically in that these people are playing for an audience. It is not just about you. They want to provoke that reaction in front of other people in order to damage you in their eyes, and thereby make themselves look better.

Understanding that their performance is just that, allows one to step back, observe and disregard.
